Der Jahrgang 2020 war sehr trocken: Die durchschnittliche Niederschlagsmenge lag unter den historischen Rekorden Mendozas. Davon haben sich die Experten von Altos las Hormigas jedoch nicht beirren lassen – ganz im Gegenteil! Das Wetter trug zur Konzentration der Trauben bei und bot ein großes Potenzial für die Weinbereitung, vor allem für Rotweine wie diesen. Ein genialer Tipp zum kleinen Preis!

The 2020 La Danza is a blend of 50% Bonarda, 43% Malbec and 7% Semillon and is 93% from Luján de Cuyo, and 7% Uco Valley. This wine was 15% fermented in whole bunches. Purple in hue. The aromatic profile features stem, herbs, plum and sour cherry. Skinny with a fresh flow, fairly grippy tannins and an herbal expression, the finish is infused with sour cherry. The 2020 is a light red for Argentina.

La Danza is the new malbec from Altos las Hormigas, and it's from a selection of vineyards of that variety in Mendoza. This is a malbec in a young style, made to be drunk young, within the year, according to the winemaker, Federico Gambetta. This year it's full of red fruits and flavors of cherries and flowers. It spent no time in oak—just six months in concrete. It's an easy red for quenching thirst.
